The Junior Curved Rugby Shield is u-shaped.
The advantage of the Curved Rugby Shield over other contact pads is that it can be held vertically like a normal contact pad or horizontally enabling a far wider range of drills to be practiced than a standard Rugby Shield; including hit and spin and rucking training with two people hitting the pad at once - for this reason we believe this to be the best contact pad on the market!
The Junior Curved Rugby Shield is recommended for ages 7 to 13.

The Curved Rugby Shield is manufactured from a 1 piece high-density foam with heavy duty PVC covering.
The Curved Rugby Shield has two straps on the back of the pad for holding it in position, it can be effective to put one arm through both these straps rather than holding the straps with both hands.
